Nick/Dick Verbal Fight and Amber Cries
context: Dick let Nick have the HOH key so he could go listen to music. Zach and Jen sauntered up there and plonked themselves on the chairs. 15 minutes of silence, then Nick asked if they'd leave him alone as that's why he went up there. Meanwhile Dick freaks out that they're up there. Amber was nearby when he freaked which is why she's having a meltdown of her own.

Oops! I Did It Again!
So Jen has been wearing this red catsuit all week as the result of a competition (we won't go into that, the show will catch us all up I'm sure). Anyways, EVERY time I see her prance onto my computer screen, the above mentioned Britney song finds it's way into my brain where it stays for HOURS ON END. At first I wasn't making the connection; it was like WHY is this SONG STUCK in my HEAD?

"The Meth Story"
Amber and Dustin lay around in the HOH room listening to whatever music Jen was awarded. I'm sure it's something awesome. Anyways, they talk about feelings a little bit then we're in for "The Meth Story." Amber has told this story at least 100 times since this all started - it's a handy way to steer the focus of conversation back to herself at all times.
Dustin's heard this all before and responds with his story of triumph. A year ago he dropped the cigarettes, dropped the booze, dropped his lazy friends, picked up the weights and started running. Making positive changes makes your life easier, he argues. 2006 - 2007 was the best year ever for him- a breeze! I bet that makes Amber feel good.

It must not, because she then launches back into her myriad of dramas, from her car accident in October to the fact that her best friend has no A/C in her car. That's a worry because it's too hot for the puppy and Amber's daughter, who the best friend is watching for the bargain price of $150 a week while she's in the house. Sweet! Amber continues to stress that she's had a tough life, and Dustin advises that "everything happens for a reason."

Anyways, we reminded that she just got off speed in November. Only 6 months ago! She went to the doctor to stop but did it four more times after that. When she was hospitalized for a meth related car accident (I think), they had to pump 9 bags of potassium and 12 bags of magnesium into her because she was so deficient. Know why? Meth depletes your body of those minerals. And ohhhhh, was Amber into the meth. The last year was quite the rollercoaster ride.

They then turn to the topic of Kail: she talked with Dustin about how he was raised and how she was raised and found it astonishing that his parents were divorced. She was completely baffled, and I can understand why, what with divorce being so uncommon. Amber says she took "Way too fucking long to open herself up to anyone anyways, so who even cares about her?" Agreed. Moving on...
Dick and Zach are outside talking about past BB contestants. Dick thought Erika was "a hot piece of ass" in season 4, and that he admired "the Asian chick," aka Jun. Zach didn't see season 4. Dick tries to compare someone to Jason from season 3, but Zach didn't see that season either. He only got to see "the tapes they sent me." Whatever that's all about....

A while later Dick is gone and Amber joins Zach. I love their dynamic because he absolutly is too self absorbed to pay attention to her stories long enough for her to really get into them. All that really matters to Zach is that he comes up with an even crazier story then the one he's being told, and you can just see Amber's words going in one ear and out the other. She starts up on "The Meth Story," but he interrupts to mention that once when he drove 29 hours straight from Florida to California, he saw leprechauns crawling on the side of his car and a whale with butterfly wings in the starry Texas sky. He wonders if that's what it was like for Amber when she was up for 3 days on a meth binge. "Something like that..."

Regardless, we're faced with this for a while, so I'm off to play Zuma Zuma or something until the feeds are back. Until then...keep fit and have fun!
